A Day in Dublin

DUBLINIA
On Tuesday the 10th of May we went down to the centre of Dublin. In the morning we had a big sleep in. At about 10:30am we had some breakfast from the restaurant. Tyler and I had coco pops and Mum and Dad had some Fruit and Fibre cereal. After breakfast we got ready and then we got on a double-decker bus. While we were in town waiting for the tour bus to come, we went into a little shop that had lots of Irish stuff in it. I decided to buy a mini Irish China doll. Then we hurried out to our tour bus.
We went for a little tour but then we came to our stop. Our stop was at a place called Dublinia. It was a big medieval and Viking place. When we went inside we were all hungry so we went up to the top floor and had some lunch from the coffee shop. It was yummy food. While lunch was cooking we had a look in the Gift Shop, which was next door to the Coffee Shop. I saw a key ring that I really liked. It said “Caution Leprechauns Crossing”. After lunch Mum and Dad let me buy it. Mum and Dad also bought lots more things from there.
Then we went up a tower for a little bit. Next we went back down stairs to start the exhibition. We went through an old Viking village. It wasn’t real but it was very good. There were lots of things to do and see. Like there were Viking dress-ups to try on. And, a funny man sitting, on an olden day toilet moaning and groaning and asking for some more toilet paper (which was moss in those days). We then went up the stairs to another Viking area. One part of the area was a big market. Another was about health and there was a bit in the middle showing the history of the Vikings in Ireland. Then we went further upstairs to a pretend scientists laboratory. It showed you how scientists came to their decisions about the Vikings.

GUINNESS STOREHOUSE
Then we went and found Mum and the jumped back on the bus to the Guinness Storehouse.  There were lots of rooms showing how the beer was made. There were lots of floors and each floor was about one important ingredient. There were five mainly important ingredients. They are Grain, Hops, and a special type of Yeast, Water and Arthur Guinness, the creator of Guinness. We had a look around at the many floors including the ones about what the ingredients were put into during the time that it was being made. At the end Mum and Dad got to have a little bit of Guinness.
We spent quite a long time in the Guinness factory and Dublinia. It was all great fun. But it was very tiring.
