On Monday 9th May we were leaving England to go to Ireland. We had to wake up at 6:30 in the morning. We got ready and then Bryce and Denise took us to the airport in their cars. When we got tho the airport, we checked our bags in, got through the security and then, after some waiting, got onto the Aer Lungis plane. It was only about an hour to get from England to Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. From the airport we caught a taxi to the Travelodge where we were staying for the next couple of nights.
When we got there we found our room, went to the Travelodge restaurant to have some lunch and then caught a double-decker bus into the centre of town.
Once we got into Dublin we went to another bus stop and caught a double-decker, open top tour bus. For the next 1½ hours we went touring around Dublin having a look at all the sites. We also picked out what we were going to stop and see tomorrow.
When we got off we went into an Irish pub and had a yummy tea. Tyler and I had lasagne with garlic bread. We both liked it After tea we went to try to find a supermarket where we got some nibbles and some juice. Then we caught the bus back to the Travelodge. We were all really tired so we had showers, ate some of our nibbles and went to bed.
We had a nice day touring Dublin. I think it was a good start to our Irish holiday.
