WATERFORD CRYSTAL
VILLAGE RAILWAY
After that we got in the car and went to a Village Railway train station. At the train station we caught a special train. It was a train that just took you along the river’s edge and then came back. It took about an hour to get there and back. There were lots of really good sights. We sat in the back carriage with a couple of other people. We were the only people in the train. I got to honk the horn at one point. It was fun. We got to see some amazing country sights of Ireland. The train line we travelled on was the Suir Valley Railway.
After the train we went to a small mall for lunch. I also got a book and Tyler got some shoes. Then we went home to the Waterford Travelodge. We just had some tea from the restaurant at the Travelodge. We then went to bed and had a good night’s sleep.
We had lots and lots of fun. I liked every bit the best.
On Thursday the 12th of May we did a couple of things around Waterford. When we woke up we got ready and went to Waterford Crystal. Waterford Crystal is a bit like the Guinness Factory but it is a factory that makes things out of crystal and glass. There were many steps in the process of making a bottle or something like that. My favourite sculpture was a sculpture of Cinderella’s carriage and horses. It was very expensive as were all of the things there. They all cost hundreds of dollars. We firstly had a look around in the shop where all the expensive things were. Then we went on a guided tour around the factory where all of the things were being made. The things were being made while we were there. All of the people making things were masters. They were really good at making the items. They all had special amazing jobs. It took them eight years of training to become a master.
